Peter T. Flawn Professor
University of Texas at San Antonio

Adolfo B. Matamoros is the Peter T. Flawn Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Costa Rica and MS and PhD degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a fellow of the American Concrete Institute and the Structural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and serves a member of national code standard committees ACI 318-H, ASCE 41, and is chair of ACI Committee 369 on seismic design and evaluation of reinforced concrete structures.
