History of Case Studies of the ASCE Code of Ethics

The ASCE code of ethics is one item that unifies the ASCE community and helps members serve our community. This presentation will briefly review the creation of the Code of Ethics for ASCE, comparison to other organization ethics, changes to the ethics over the years, issues but focus on a history of potential/actual violations of the code of ethics through the years. The Case studies will be presented of ethics trials that have come before the Committee on Professional Conduct (CPC). Discussion will be allotted to understand views of the case studies and discuss the outcome/lessons learned.
