Bio
Dr. Ning Luo joined Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi as an assistant professor in civil engineering in 2022. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in geotechnical engineering from Queen’s University in 2017. Before he assumed the role of assistant professor at TAMU-CC, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Massachusetts Amherst working in the offshore wind energy sector. Later, he also conducted research in transportation geotechnics at the Louisiana Transportation Research Center.
Dr. Luo’s research interests include Transportation Geotechnics, Extreme Climate Events on Geotechnical Infrastructures, Field Instrumentation and Monitoring, and Coastal/Offshore Geotechnics. He is currently an Associate Member of the Offshore Site Investigation and Geotechnics Committee (SUT-OSIG-US), a member of the Risk Assessment Management Committee (GI-ASCE) and the Geotechnical Extreme Events Reconnaissance (GEEN) Association sponsored by NSF.
