Melinda Luna, PE, CFM, F. ASCE is a civil engineer with 30 years’ experience in civil engineering design and studies working in both the public and private sectors. In 2019, she was awarded the Civil Engineering History & Heritage Award by ASCE Global for her 25 years of service in researching and publishing papers/articles on civil engineering history. She also volunteers her time helping others doing similar work by serving as a resource to the public, ASCE members, and professionals researching civil engineering history, landmarks, or civil engineers. Ms. Luna volunteers her time as a swim timer, with Society of Women Engineers (SWE), ASCE, Texas Floodplain Managers Association (TFMA) on the Outreach committee, Engineers without Borders as a technical reviewer, and National Hydrologic Warning Council on the training and professional development committee. Melinda Luna currently leads a team of engineers with TRC Companies working in a number of states including Texas.
