Sergio Roman has 13 years of drone operations experience flying and managing everything from small quadcopters to large MQ-1 drones spanning over 6,000 flight hours, an 8-year career with 6 combat deployments as a drone Pilot Instructor in the United States Army, and 5 years in the private sector as a drone pilot. He holds degrees in UAS operations and Organizational Leadership. Today, Sergio serves as the TxDOT UAS coordinator charged with developing and managing pilot training, aircraft procurement, and the integration of UAS into TxDOT’s daily operations.
