About our Sessions

Adam Giblin, P.E. (Chair of the ASCE Parks & Recreation chapter of the Texas infrastructure Report Card) will be co-presenting with Komala Narra, P.E., CFM. (Project Manager in Dallas County’s Trail and Preserve Program). Our presentation will focus on the Parks and Recreation chapter of the Texas 2025 Infrastructure Report Card, and how park reinvestment can support local economies and communities. We plan to discuss our findings in the infrastructure report card, our experiences working on park & trail related projects, and with other park & recreation departments in Texas. We plan to discuss the importance of reinvestment in parks, trails, and active transportation. As well as the effects this has on the general public. We plan to discuss the current funding, current conditions, and future needs of park systems throughout Texas. Finally, we will touch on the importance that park systems play in the economy, community, and overall health & wellbeing of the public.
