Our firm, Intelligent Mapping has developed a device, The PLUM, that is pulled through underground conduit during construction. Once retrieved, it provides an inches-accurate XYZ profile, bend radius analysis, 3D map & all files needed for CAD & GIS ingestion. A typical 1000ft handhold to handhole segment takes less than 5 minutes to provide a profile that is 5X more accurate & much more efficient than what contractors are doing today. “As-builts as you go” that are uploaded to the cloud while teams are still in the field so engineers can access the data in real time, not weeks/months.

For telecoms, data centers, network owners etc….this is an audit mechanism that can replace field inspection. Network Owners can review every aspect of the duct before acceptance & ensure it was built to engineered spec vs trusting what the contractor provides today… This will dramatically improve the as-built process without adding any additional cost to the network owner.
