Bio
Dr. Petrasek’s consulting background includes the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities, water pump stations, storm water pump stations, water distribution and transmission facilities, and wastewater collection facilities. Additionally, he has had extensive practice in the areas of air pollution control, solid waste management, and hazardous waste management. Some of his current projects include wastewater master plans for Stillwater, Oklahoma and Lubbock, Texas; design and construction of the Lake Fork Pump Station and the 108-inch diameter Lake Fork Pipeline for the City of Dallas, planning/design of the 144-inch diameter Tawakoni raw water transmission line for the City of Dallas, and the design of two new storm water pump station for the City of Dallas.
Dr. Petrasek is active in community and civic affairs and has served on the Mayor’s Election Committee in Plano, served as the Chairman of the Environmental Engineering Advisory Committee for Texas A&M University, served as Chairman of the Environmental and Civil Engineering Advisory Board at SMU, served as Chairman of the Flood Control Committee for the Trinity River Corridor Citizens Committee and the Trinity Commons Foundation, and the President of the Board of the Trinity Commons Foundation.
