Michael Hall is the President and Founder of Engineering Design Services LLC (EDS), a visionary engineering consulting firm headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas, with a rapidly growing national footprint. Since founding EDS in 2018, Michael has been driven by a singular mission: to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and the traditional industrial market.
A licensed Professional Engineer across multiple states and a certified Project Management Professional, Michael holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. His career sits at the exact intersection of rigorous professional engineering and advanced automation. Prior to founding EDS, Michael served as the Chief Technology Officer of a food robotics startup, filing multiple patents relating to robotics.
Today, Michael and his multi-disciplinary team at EDS lead the industry in integrating next-generation tools—such as drone technology, AI, AR/VR, and 3D scanning and imaging—into complex sectors ranging from aerospace and renewables to petrochemicals and themed entertainment.
As an engineer who believes that technology should elevate rather than replace human expertise, Michael is passionate about building frameworks that empower professionals to innovate fearlessly. In his keynote, “Pioneering Trust: Delivering Next-Generation Engineering Design Services,” he will share his optimistic vision for how AI and drones are not just changing the workflow, but are also serving as a force multiplier for the value and integrity of the professional engineer’s stamp.

Pioneering Trust: Delivering Next-Generation Engineering Design Services

The engineering landscape is undergoing a technological renaissance. Generative AI and autonomous drone data collection are no longer fringe concepts; they are rapidly becoming industry standards. Yet, as these tools automate complex design workflows and accelerate project timelines, a critical question emerges for licensed professionals: how do we maintain the integrity of the professional engineer’s stamp?

Too often, the conversation around AI and automation is dominated by risk mitigation, liability, and the fear of the “black box.” This keynote flips that narrative. Rather than threatening the profession, advanced technologies present an unprecedented opportunity to elevate our standards of accuracy, safety, and innovation.

Drawing from his experience integrating advanced robotics and automation into traditional industrial markets, Michael explores the optimistic future of AI-assisted engineering. Attendees will learn how to ethically integrate drone-captured spatial data and AI-driven drafting tools into their daily workflows without compromising professional judgment. The session will cover practical frameworks for “human-in-the-loop” validation, transparent data verification, and building firm-wide guidelines that prioritize accountability.

Ultimately, the professional seal represents public trust. This presentation will empower engineers and firm leaders to embrace next-generation tools with confidence. You will walk away with a clear roadmap for harnessing AI and drone technology to enhance your expertise, proving that ethical excellence and rapid technological advancement are the blueprints for the future of engineering.
