David Schrank, Senior Research Scientist, Division Head, Mobility Division
David has been involved in urban mobility, freight mobility and performance measurement research for over 35 years at TTI. He has conducted research that has developed and applied a methodology to assess areawide as well as corridor traffic congestion levels for both autos and trucks. In addition to the national work for the Urban Mobility Report, David has also helped perform numerous congestion and bottleneck analyses for state DOT’s using statewide roadway inventory as well as a private sector speed datasets to produce such reports as the Texas 100 Most Congested Road Sections report for the Texas DOT where over 2,100 road sections in Texas (about 11,000 miles) are monitored annually for traffic congestion.
