Francisco currently serves as the Design Director at Alamo Nex Construction for the $1.5b I-35 NEX Central Project in San Antonio, TX. He has led the engineering teams during the procurement and delivery phase, promoting innovation of the technical solutions and delivery process.
With over 18 years of experience in the bridge engineering field, Francisco has led different major bridge projects in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Spain. He has led the bridge engineering department in Ferrovial Construction US and held executive positions at an engineering firm specialized in special structures.
He is specialized in complex bridges and structures with involvement in the design and construction of cable-stayed bridges, bridges with special loading conditions, and structures with complex and innovative construction processes.
Since joining Ferrovial in 2014, he led the engineering teams in different design and build major local and international projects during tender and detailed design phases.
He received the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS)’s Hangai Prize and holds a patent of an invention for the design of a two-axes solar tracking structure.
Francisco holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Valencia in Spain. He has been residing in several countries as part of his career development.
