Bio
Mr. Struzyk’s professional background includes over 39 years of diversified experience in the design, and investigation of various types of engineering projects.
Mr. Struzyk’s professional experience includes the investigation and/or the preparation of restoration/construction documents for various historic structures in need of repair. His project experience includes the San Antonio Majestic and Empire Theaters and the John Nance Garner Museum located in Uvalde, Texas.
Mr. Struzyk also has extensive experience conducting forensic investigations in the areas of structural, geotechnical and architectural engineering. He is the Principal in Charge of Forensic Services for AccuTech Consultants, LLC. His Forensic Experience includes general condition studies, civil structure investigations, expansive soil studies, swimming pool studies, foundation investigations, structural collapse studies, ground water studies, plumbing system evaluations, load testing, accident (safety, vehicular impact, etc.) studies, fire studies, storm investigations (wind, lightning, hail, flood, etc.), corrosion studies, roof investigations, water penetration investigations, drainage studies and material failure evaluations. In addition, Mr. Struzyk has considerable experience in performing expert witness services related to these investigations.
Mr. Struzyk is the past chairman and current member of the GeoInstitute (ASCE National) Shallow Foundation Committee. He is presently the chairman for the Texas ASCE Subcommittee for the Evaluation and Repair of Residential Foundations and a member of the Subcommittee for the Design of Residential Foundations. Mr. Struzyk is also on the Oversight Committee and the Education Subcommittee for both documents.
Mr. Struzyk is currently on the University of Texas at San Antonio, Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Advisory Council. He has co-authored several publications related to expansive soils.
