Marco Galindo, PE, is the San Antonio District Alternative Project Delivery Supervisor for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and oversees the I-35 NEX Design-Build Program.  

Marco began his career with TxDOT in 2008, obtained his Professional Engineer’s license in 2013, and has served as Construction Engineer and Assistant Area Engineer at TxDOT’s Bexar Metro Area Office where he helped manage a budget of over $700 million dollars of construction and maintenance projects. He has been involved with piloting various aspects of TxDOT’s 3D design implementation, schematic development, public outreach, and design and construction management of various interchange projects.

Some of Marco’s most valuable and humbling experiences have been constructing projects that he signed and sealed as a designer. He won the Texas Transportation Forum “We Build Texas” 2021-2022 Phase 1 Construction Award for exemplary cooperation and performance on the US 281 Expansion project in TxDOT San Antonio District.

A 2008 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, Marco joined the I-35 NEX project in December 2022. Marco and his wife Amanda have one son and they live within the limits of the project corridor.
