Bio

Dr. Nagesh Ramaswamy is a structural engineer and researcher specializing in sustainable infrastructure systems and composite material applications. He currently works as a Structural Engineer for the Bridge sector at TYLin, where he is involved in the design and analysis of complex structures, including cable-stay bridges, prestressed concrete bridges, and steel structures for agencies such as TxDOT, GDOT, and FDOT. Dr. Ramaswamy holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and recently earned his Ph.D. from the University of Houston, where his research focused on the structural repurposing of decommissioned wind turbine blades for highway overhead sign structures and other civil infrastructure applications.

He has authored several high-impact journal publications on topics including structural repurposing, metamaterial-based seismic isolation systems, and skewed reinforcement strategies for TxDOT inverted T bent caps. He holds an E.I.T. certification in Texas and is currently pursuing licensure as a Professional Engineer. With over a decade of combined academic and industry experience, including major infrastructure projects in India, Dr. Ramaswamy brings a global perspective to innovative structural solutions.
