Paramanantham joined TxDOT in 1995 in the Paris District’s Sherman Area Office as an engineering assistant. Paramanantham worked in the Sherman Area Office for the next 18 years, serving as designer, construction project engineer, design manager and assistant area engineer.

In 2013, Paramanantham was named the area engineer for East Dallas County. The same year, he was named the area engineer for Dallas County after the merger of the East and West Dallas County offices.

Prior to joining TxDOT, Paramanantham worked with the Sherman-Denison MPO as a transportation planner.

Paramanantham graduated from the National Institute of Technology in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and from Lamar University in 1993 with a master’s degree in structural engineering.
