The ASCE Texas Section is proud to host the Vernon Wuensche Memorial Fishing Tournament, bringing together civil engineers, industry professionals, and students for a fun-filled, casual networking experience ahead of the Texas Civil Engineering Conference (CECON).
Vernon Wuensche loved fishing nearly as much as he loved ASCE. Join us as we honor him by celebrating both. This event offers an opportunity to relax, build new connections, and enjoy some friendly competition — all while supporting the future of civil engineering in Texas.
CECON registration nor ASCE membership required to participate. All are welcome!

All equipment, including rod & reel, is provided and included in each guide’s charter fee. Anglers are free to bring their own drinks and snacks on the charter.
Each angler will need their fishing license. A one-day Texas license is about $11 for Texas residents and runs around $16 for non-residents. One-day licenses can be purchased digitally online or in-person at stores such as Academy.
Prizes include a Bose Speaker, Yeti Travel Set, Stanley Backpack Cooler, Nocs telescope, personal tent, rod & reel, Pro Shop gift cards, and more!
