Frequently Asked Questions & Waiver

I need Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for my engineering license. When will I receive a certificate of attendance?
A certificate of attendance will be available after completing the conference survey. Attendees can use the ASCE Texas Section App to access the survey or here. In addition, all attendees will receive the survey via email following the conference. Upon completion of the survey, you will then be able to download your certificate of attendance as well as notate which specific CECON 2024 sessions you attended. The Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) does not pre-qualify courses or presentations for Professional Development Hours (PDHs). Please refer to the TBPELS rules to determine the adequacy of CECON programming and requirements for keeping your records.

I attended a Certified Floodplain Management presentation and I need my continuing education credit. How do I receive my certificate of attendance?
At the registration kiosk, there is a one-page form for verification and approved agenda. At the end of the conference, TFMA requires to upload your forms to the TFMA website for it to be reviewed and approved. Only 8 CEC hours will be accepted.

How can I provide conference feedback or volunteer at the conference?
We want to hear from you! If you’d like to share feedback with a CECON Planning Committee Co-Chair, you may do so by emailing txcecon@texasce.org.

We love fresh, new ideas and could always use a hand in planning, executing, and celebrating all our programs. If you’d like to join the CECON Planning Committee or learn more about other volunteer opportunities within ASCE Texas Section, please visit us at www.texasce.org/volunteer.

What is the event cancellation policy?
Canceled registrations will incur a $50 administrative fee and must be received in writing by August 16.
